Korean toners are not the astringent kind. They are a hydration step applied straight after cleansing, while the skin is still damp, to prepare it for everything that follows. Look for hyaluronic acid or glycerin for dehydration, rice and ginseng for glow, and centella if your skin is easily irritated.

How do I apply a Korean toner?

Pat it in with clean hands rather than wiping with cotton. Apply to slightly damp skin within a minute of cleansing, and layer two or three light applications if your skin is very dehydrated.

Do I still need moisturiser after a toner?

Yes. A toner adds water to the skin; the moisturiser is what seals it in. Skipping it means the hydration evaporates within the hour.
